The San Marcos Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC), one of 17 planned for Texas, will be a 600-member training facility consisting of four buildings: a training building (61,796 square feet), heated storage (29,756 square feet), organization maintenance building (25,805 square feet) and an unheated storage building (600 SF). This $23.3 million project is on schedule to be completed on Feb. 19, 2011. Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing teamed up with Satterfield & Pontikes on the project and performed the exterior facade sealants, Fire stopping, membrane flashing, and spray applied fireproofing to the steel structural members.

The NASA Office Building #20 consists of 93,400 sq. ft. of space and can accommodate approximately 520 people. The project is a "Gold" building which means it meets the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) requirements as established by the U.S. Green Building Council certification standards for new buildings. Satterfield and Pontikes and Alpha stepped up to the challenges of building a project on the NASA campus with tight security and rigorous safety standards. Alpha provided the services of installation of the bentonite below grade waterproofing, bituminous damp proofing, membrane flashing, exterior thermal insulation and building sealants.
Texas Women's University Science BuildingTexas Women's University Science Building
Denton, TX

Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas produces more nurses and other health care providers than any other public institution of higher education in Texas. In order to continue to be the leader in this category, the university embarked on renovation of the original historic science building built in 1936 and constructed a new 42,000 square foot science building that will connect to the original project. Together the two structures will provide over 73,000 square feet of science facilities. Satterfield and Pontikes Construction contracted with Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing to provide the fluid applied under slab waterproofing membrane, fluid-applied air barrier system, dampproofing, stainless steel metal flashing, self-adhering flashing, building sealant and site sealants.
